The Sheltering Sky follows Port and Kit Moresby into North Africa’s vast emptiness, where heat, light, and silence strip identity to its bare bones.
It opens with heat and light—mandarin flashing against clove and ginger like sun on sand, sharp and intoxicating.
As it deepens, black pepper, tobacco, and cardamom take over, dry and relentless, pulling the wearer inward rather than forward. There is tension here, and distance.
The base settles into cedarwood, amber, and patchouli, layered with wet stone, dusted soil, and driftwood—paradoxical traces of life and memory in a vast, indifferent landscape.
Like The Sheltering Sky, Desert is not about comfort but exposure: to scale, to silence, to the unsettling clarity that comes when civilisation falls away and you are left alone with yourself under an endless sky.
